elcome
to Mearnscraft, a site devoted to Scottish cross stitch and needlecraft. Being Scots ourselves, we know that wherever they live, people
of Scots descent are intensely proud of their Scottish heritage.
Our
aim is to provide a choice of high quality needlecraft kits
and charts that will appeal to Scots and friends of Scotland the
world over and our wide range of counted cross-stitch
kits and charts is devoted almost entirely to Scottish and Celtic subjects.
You'll find nearly all our designs on this site. All our kits are made by us here in Angus using top quality materials.
IMPORTANT
Age eventually catches up and we feel that the time has come for us to retire. We therefore propose to run Mearnscraft down for the next few months while we try to use up existing stocks of threads and materials. Unless anyone wants to buy it, the business will then close.
In the meantime we intend to operate an increasingly limited service. We have now exhausted our supply of 27 count evenweave material which we use for our maps and several other kits in our range. We are therfore no longer able to supply our maps and some Scottish theme designs in kit form. These will now be available as chartpacks only, although many are also offered with a full set of threads.
We do still have a good supply of Aida material and are therefore able to continue to supply our Clan, Hamish Haggis, Arbroath Declaration and some other Scottish theme designs that use Aida as full kits.
FOR SALE
Meanwhile, if anyone would like to buy Mearnscraft as a going concern, please get in touch with us. The buyer would receive full rights to our 42 map kits including an unreleased kit of the Isle of Man, 100 clan kits, 11 Scottish regimental kits, and a variety of Scottish theme kits including our Scotland sampler, our Arbroath Declaration kits, and our Hamish Haggis range. The MacPherson kits will not be included in any sale.
