We're very proud of our map of Scotland. At very nearly 34 inches high this is not a design for the faint-hearted, but in our view if you only ever do one map of Scotland, it has to be this one. Combining the greens, blues and purples that make up the Scottish land and sea scapes, this design incorporates over 40 buildings including some of the most famous in the land, ferries, puffers, fishing boats, lighthouses and all the landscape features that you've come to expect in a Mearnscraft design. There are over 100 rivers and a lot of lochs as well as a Saltire, Thistle, and Lion Rampant. To complete this design you will require a large piece of 27-count Linda evenweave, 36 shades of Anchor stranded cotton (floss), and some gold metallic and rayon threads. You'll need a frame for the material, ideally a floor standing one of a suitable size. The chartpack includes 10 large clear overlapping A3-size charts, enlarged charts illustrating the detail on buildings, boats, etc. and providing historical details on all the buildings and several of the other features, and full instructions. There's an alphabet and number chart so that you can include any additional place names you may want and sign your work when finished. It's quite a bulky pack! Stitches used are cross, back and long stitch. Scotland is our biggest kit. The design size is 20½ × 33¾ inches (525 × 860 mm) and the stitch count is 279 x 456.
